ROME STATION BACK IN OPERATION AFTER ESCALATOR REPAIRS
Rome's Barberini metro station, which shut down in 2019 because of a malfunctioning escalator, has fully reopened, Wanted In Rome reports. The station, closed in March 2019, was one of several stations that closed due to escalator problems. It was partially reopened on February 4, 2020, but only for exiting passengers. As of May 15, the station became fully operational for arriving and departing passengers. The source said only four of the station's six escalators were in operation, however — two going up and two going down.
