據(jù)印度時報報道，為了提高通行安全性，印度班加羅爾地鐵公司將把Kempe Gowda地鐵站的自動扶梯和樓梯的空隙填上。這次工程的開展是因為2019年1月，印度Srirampura地鐵站發(fā)生了一起幼兒從自動扶梯摔落致死的事故，表明地鐵站內(nèi)自動扶梯和樓梯間的空襲應(yīng)該用網(wǎng)或者金屬板遮蓋住，除此之外，此次工程還包括了軌道安全維修。目前大部分的地鐵站只安裝有一臺自動扶梯，因此地鐵公司決定在現(xiàn)有的站內(nèi)加裝扶梯設(shè)備。

INDIA’S BMRCL TO COVER GAPS BETWEEN ESCALATORS, STAIRS

In an effort to improve safety, Bangalore Metro Rail Corp. Ltd. (BMRCL) will cover gaps between escalators and staircases at Kempe Gowda Metro rail stations in Bengaluru, The Times of India reports. Also involving safety-rail repair, the upgrades come in the wake of a fatal January 2019 accident in which a toddler fell from an escalator at Srirampura Metro to the road below, indicating the need for gaps to be covered by safety nets or metal sheets. With many stations served by only one escalator, BMRCL is also installing more escalators at existing stations.
