State Administration for Market Regulation: Elevator Maintenance Frequency Ought Not to Exceed Corresponding Period
Question 1: As the former and latter quarterly maintenance records have been over 100 days earlier or later than semi-annual maintenance report, which means over 3 months, is this an over-due maintenance that is violating the technical specifications? The technical specification has made it clear that two fortnight maintenance work should be performed in 15 days, however the number is not sure for a quarterly maintenance.
Question 2: As the Administration has said that if a maintenance company have performed a maintenance but not yet filled out the maintenance records, it would not be punished as long as the user admits it and the records are completed. However, if the maintenance record was missed out for over 2 months or even is not found missed out after the next maintenance is done, and the maintenance company and the user both agree to the maintenance, will the rule still apply?
Reply from State Administration for Market Regulation: As Lift Maintenance Regulation required, the frequency of elevator maintenance should not exceed corresponding period, including fortnight, quarterly, semi-annual and annual ones. If any units have violated the regulation, it should be punished in accordance with laws and regulations.
